ICE Malta’s Cisco Educator spotted Ryan from the very first CCNA Routing & Switching class. ‘This guy is going to be a star – he’ll go places, he’ll make us proud‘ – and was he right.
1st in Europe. 4th in the World. Ryan shares his story
Part time student Ryan Chetcuti, not only won Malta’s national Cisco NetRiders 2013 championships but competed against 40,000 students from all over the world and placed first in Europe and fourth in the world. Ryan put Malta back on the Cisco map and showed the world that this little island in the Med oozes IT talent. Next, Ryan achieved the Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching certification, won an all expense paid trip to Cisco California – was handpicked by Cisco for a career opportunity in Scotland and was mentored by some of the world’s greatest IT professionals.
Fast forward to today and Ryan is living his dream. He’s working at British SKY Broadcasting in London and considers himself to be a life long student – that’s his secret to continuing to climb the career ladder – constant investment in education.
