Description
About this Course
This course is designed for network and system administrators to address advanced administration, security, networking and performance skills that are commonly needed across all distributions of Linux and required for advanced enterprise systems.
On course completion, students will be able to plan, implement, maintain, keep consistent, secure and troubleshoot a small to medium-sized mixed network. This includes a LAN server (Samba, NFS, DNS, DHCP), Internet gateway (firewall, proxy, mail, news, SSH) and Internet server (web server, FTP server). Lab exercises and examples are used throughout the whole delivery to give students practical hands-on experience with the techniques covered.
This course prepares students for the 201 and 202 exams towards achieving the official LPIC-2 Linux Engineer certification. This will serve as an industry benchmark, signifying mastery of critical Linux skills, ability to supervise other Linux professionals and advise management on automation and hardware tool purchases. This credential will qualify students for roles including systems administrator, networking engineer, senior systems integration engineer, and more.
