Fully-funded Python class to inspire code beginners.
ICE Malta is proudly partnering with eSkills Malta Foundation for the fifth consecutive year to offer learners fully-sponsored training in programming as part of the EU Code Week initiative. The Programming Basics with Python class will consist of two online live workshops, which have been designed to introduce coding beginners to Python, one of the world’s top programming languages. Delivered by ICE Malta’s industry expert, the hands-on course will see learners completing a series of practical projects which allow them to combine their existing soft skills, such as problem-solving, with the effective use of code.

This highly popular class is a vital opportunity for individuals aspiring to gain new tech abilities, engage in continued learning, and explore new avenues for career development in the digital sphere. Given the rising need for these increasingly indispensable skills both locally and globally, this initiative aims to promote and facilitate educational entry-points into the growing tech industry.

“At the very heart of our mission at ICE Malta is our continuous efforts to empower individuals with relevant, competitive skills,” says Nikolai Sammut, co-founder of ICE Malta. “We’re very happy to work with eSkills Malta Foundation to bring participants a compact course that will take them from their first introduction to code to building a fully functional programme in six hours.”

The workshop welcomes individuals with zero programming experience, and is suited to anyone who is curious to explore the world of code. Participants will benefit from dedicated educator support and gain practical experience working with Python through the use of virtual labs. By the end of the short course, learners will have created their first programme from scratch, while also sharpening transversal skills such as critical thinking.
