ICE Malta joins EMBED 2013 celebrations

The ICE Malta team will be hosting creative informative workshops during this year’s edition of Malta’s national Technology Enabled Learning event EMBED 2013, scheduled to be held between Wednesday 20th November and Wednesday 27th November at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta.

All students attending Year 3, Year 5, Form 1 and Form 2 students have been invited to attend workshops designed and presented by some of the island’s top industry leaders including the ICE Malta team. ‘We’re proud to be part of such a prestigious event and we’re looking forward to meeting students and their teachers. This year we’ve designed an ‘edutainment’ focused workshop bringing together ICT and entertainment. More details will be revealed during the week – we have a couple of surprises in store for students and for all the partner stands taking part in this year’s EMBED 2013′ Nikolai Sammut, director ICE Malta explained.

The ICE Malta team are also hosting the second edition of the highly awaited educators’ conference ‘Your Classroom. Their Future’ during EMBED 2013.  Educators and B.Ed Students together with individuals interested in ICT and parents interested in joining the conference may register for their complimentary tickets HERE. Line up of speakers includes Dr. Ing. Nicholas J. Sammut, Dr Philip Bonanno, Keith Vassallo, Marouska Bugeja, Stephanie Agius and special guest Luca Lepore,  CISCO’s Corporate Affairs Program Manager who will invite local educators to join the world’s largest online classroom. The theme chosen for the Educators Debate is ‘Education and Training to engage ‘digital-native’ students’ – panel guests include e-Learning Assistant Director Mr Emanuel Zammit, Dr. Alexiei Dingli – University of Malta, Paul Cassar – Robotics Malta and Mark Spiteri, Malta Communications Authority. The debate will be moderated by Adobe Educator & NIU director, Matthew Sammut.
