Creative Student Showcase 2013, students announced
As the final preparations for Malta’s first Creative Student Showcase continue, ICE Malta’s director of studies together with a dedicated team of creative design course tutors, namely tutors of Game Development, MAYA and 3D Studio Max, are working round the clock to assist students in the finishing touches of their show-reels and portfolios.
‘16 ICE Malta creative design students have embarked on this project and now have the opportunity to exhibit their creative works in an online showcase and to present their show-reel and portfolio to industry stakeholders, during a Soiree which will be held in February 2013. An esteemed panel of local and international judges will then judge the show-reels on their concept and overall creative idea, the art direction and the use of design and graphic elements, as well as 3D Skills and Techniques used’ Nikolai Sammut, ICE Malta’s principal explains
ICE Malta has now officially launched the names of the students who will be presenting their work in the 2013 showcase. ‘During these last months we’ve not only seen incredible creativity and technical development from these students, but also commitment, dedication and loyalty towards their studies, and we feel that our showcase students truly deserve the designation – ‘ICE Malta’s Creative Ambassadors’. While the competitive nature is a factor in this initiative, as two students will be awarded at the end of the event, we are extremely proud of all our students and truly believe that they deserve this prestigious title. These students are remarkable creative representatives of our institute and prove to be a fine example of our constant emphasis on the importance of providing practical, hands on experience, in a state of the art high tech environment under the guidance of professional tutors and mentors’ Nikolai Sammut concluded.
