Malta’s National CISCO NetRiders Competition 2013
ICE Malta is proud to announce Malta’s participation as a contender in the international CISCO NetRiders 2013 competition. ICE Malta students together with all of Malta’s CISCO students studying in registered CISCO academies, now have the opportunity to compete in an international competition together with CISCO students from Asia, Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, USA and Canada. Year after year, this competition attracts more than 10,000 CISCO students from more than 85 countries around the globe – ICE Malta is now giving our islands its ticket to be a part of this prestigious event.
‘We are thrilled to give not just our students but all CISCO students in Malta, the opportunity to take part in such a career changing international competition. Apart from students being recognized for outstanding achievement, they will attain hands on practical experience in a CISCO competitive environment, potentially enjoy career opportunities and internships, will be exposed to career role models as well as engage with students all over the world. While our top local winners will be competing in an international competition in September, were they have the chance of winning a Study trip at CISCO in San Jose, California Campus together with other top achievers from around the world, our local winner has also been invited to the CISCO headquarters in London for an exclusive all expense paid behind the scenes tour’ Nikolai Sammut, principal of ICE Malta commented.
‘Malta will also benefit as after years of not taking part, our islands are back on the CISCO radar and we are now once again recognized as a CISCO NetRiders location and will benefit from advertising on the official CISCO media tools. We are also proud to point out that students who will be competing in Malta’s National NetRiders 2013 Competition have in the majority, benefited from Malta Enterprise’s Get Qualified Scheme, whereby they are given 80% tax credit on their course fees. This is a valuable scheme which encourages students to get world wide recognized qualifications at an extremely nominal fee’
The competition enrollment process will be launched HERE while the official competition date has been schedule for Tuesday May 28th 2013. Students attending all recognized ICT centres in Malta are encouraged to participate while the ICE Malta team will be communicating competition structure, rules, requirements and conditions with various schools on the island. ‘While we would like all of our ICE Malta past and present CISCO students to take part, we would be honoured to welcome students from other recognized institutes in Malta. We are sure other schools will encourage their students to take part in this competition and help us send the best CISCO ambassador to compete in the international CISCO NetRiders 2013 and hopefully win for Malta’ Mr Sammut concluded.
