With Annabelle’s project management background, and having no prior digital marketing experience, she enrolled for the five-day Diploma in Digital Marketing bootcamp. She knew that diving into world-class learning and gaining in-demand industry skills would help her to embark on a new career journey within the iGaming arena. Annabelle is now GiG’s B2B Content Manager and this is her story.

How have digital marketing skills helped you progress in your career during the last 24 months?
The past 24 months have been nothing less than a roller coaster ride and having digital marketing skills has surely helped me grow my career and secure my spot in the extremely dynamic iGaming industry.
You’ve now landed a spot at GiG. What’s working in the iGaming industry like?

The iGaming industry is very dynamic and constantly evolving. My job as B2B Content Manager is really interesting. My work tasks are very varied and include focusing on building the required synergies to increase efficiency, customer service, and satisfaction. I am surrounded by very knowledgeable colleagues who bring loads of talent to the table and I am very proud to be part of such a driven team.

How important is it for you to continue to keep up with the fast-paced world of digital marketing?
Keeping up with such a fast-paced world is crucial as one cannot afford to lag behind. Like in every other industry, knowledge is power, and keeping up to date is key to the success or failure of a business. To enrich what you bring to the table and your team, you must continually invest your time to learn the hybrid mix of dynamics in this digital era.
What part of the study experience did you enjoy the most?
I enrolled for the five-day bootcamp delivery and the best part of it was the fact that I was fully immersed in digital marketing. While admittedly the beginning of the course was a bit overwhelming because I had no background in digital marketing, by the end of the bootcamp I realised that it was a rewarding challenge and I was very proud to have successfully completed it.
How will your learning journey continue?
I consider every day to be a learning experience. I look at my journey going forward in a two-fold parallel manner – the practical on-the-job experience as well as the academic perspective. On the practical side, day-to-day work proves to be a very important element given the experience gained from both the job itself as well as the rest of the team. On the academic side, I aspire to continue broadening my knowledge – in my world learning never stops.
Your recommendations for talent who would like to follow in your footsteps?
Always take the plunge and do not be afraid of exploring new opportunities. The most important element is to have the willingness to learn and move forward. Continue working on gaining experience, be hands-on, and driven to achieve more of what life has to offer.
Although Annabelle had a background in project management, she had no experience working in iGaming. One of the world’s fastest iGaming brands welcomed her to their team because she had the drive, determination and winning attitude, combined with the in-demand industry skills and certifications that all top companies want.
