Your Classroom. Their Future – be our guest

ICE Malta together with Microsoft Innovation Centre and MITA proudly present Malta’s first ‘Your Classroom. Their Future‘ on the 12th of September 2013.  All of Malta’s educators and B.Ed students are invited to attend a one day workshop focused on the integration of ICT in education.

‘During the upcoming academic year we will continue to work closely with all schools and parent committees while we are very pleased that all of the island’s ICT stakeholders have given us their support for this one day workshop. The aim of the event is to inspire, create and share resources and free apps whilst explore different teaching scenarios and trends, create multi-media material for the classroom, give practical examples and of ultimately bring together Malta’s educators for what we hope will turn into an annual networking event’ Nikolai Sammut, director of ICE Malta explained.

The conference will include informative as well as practical sessions hosted by a some of the island’s most seasoned educators and special guests as well as an Educators Debate which has been scheduled to bring together all stakeholders to share their vision for the integration of ICT in all educational subjects. Workshop titles include: To flip or not to flip, Using film to develop a children’s writing skills, promoting listening and speaking skills, Robotics, Tablets in the classroom – the way forward, Free apps for the class, amongst others. More details will be announced on a dedicated web page entitled The Staff Room which will also include resources and apps. ‘Our aim is to ensure that we give educators’ a place where they can share their knowledge and experiences and also inspire them to consider ICT as a tool which will make their lesson plans more interactive, interesting and effective.
