Malta’s top female Cisco talent in this year’s Netriders 2014 finals
Countdown to this year’s Cisco NetRiders 2014 finals has now begun. ICE Malta students and national champions Luke Farrugia, Sarah Tabone and Malta’s first place winner Christopher Demicoli will be competing in the international finals on Thursday 16th October 2014 between 10am and 2.00pm at ICE Malta.
‘While Christopher Demicoli will be traveling to Milan to compete with from the Milan Headquarters Sarah and Luke will be competing with more than 10,000 students from all over the globe from the ICE Malta Cisco Lab. During these last months our Cisco educators delivered excellent mentorship sessions and all students have shown great determination and commitment. We’re ready for the international championships and are looking forward to hopefully putting Malta on the top of the winners list for the second consecutive year’ Nikolai Sammut, ICE Malta director explained.
This year, one of Malta’s finalists is Sarah Tabone, a System Administrator at Go Mobile who has been working in the ICT industry for the last 9 months. ‘ICE Malta has supported Girls in ICT initiatives for a number of academic years and we’re proud that we have both male and female finalists in this prestigious competition. Sarah is a true example for other young girls who are considering careers in ICT’ All over the globe Cisco study programmes are considered to be essential worldwide recognised certifications the industry wants all potential candidates to achieve – be it male and female .
