Startup Weekend NEXT Final Presentation Day and Tech Open Coffee on the 16th November organized by SmartCity Malta, will be one of Malta’s activities within the Global Entrepreneurship Week, as vetted by The Edward de Bono Institute at the University of Malta, the official National Host.

James Abela, Matthew Sammut and Nikolai Sammut, Founders of Institute of Computer Education and winners of Malta’s 2013 Innovative Entrepreneur Award, have been invited to attend ‘Tech Open Coffee’ as special guests together with other local VIP guests including Leonie Baldacchino (Director of The Edward de Bono Institute for the Design & Dev of Thinking at Univ of Malta), Sandra M. Dingli (Associate Professor at The Edward de Bono Institute for the Design & Dev of Thinking at Univ of Malta, writer and philosopher specialised in creative thinking), Saviour Zammit (Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation), Marvin Cuschieri (CEO at Foundation for Human Resources Development) & Kevin Valenzia (Territory Senior Partner, PwC Malta). Attendance has been also confirmed by prominent players on the international startup scene, including Alex Kölpin – WestTech Ventures Partner and Hasan Haider – CEO of Bahrain´s first Business Angels company.
