ICE Malta sponsors The Konnekt Malta eSports Festival
For the last quarter of 2013, ICE Malta has confirmed participation and sponsorship of the first edition of the ‘Konnekt Malta eSports Festival’, held at the Millennium Stand in Ta’ Qali between the 8th – 10th November 2013, a three day event that brings together video game fans and enthusiasts under one roof.
‘During the last academic year we’ve selected a number of established large scale events as well as start ups initiatives we believe would be a great addition to our own calendar of events such as our Study. Unwind. Repeat sponsorship of the World Cup Rugby, Qualifier and the Malta National Team, Career Day at the Microsoft Innovation Centre, Girls in ICT Day 2013/2014, Safer Internet Day 2013, The Tech Area at Science in the City, The ‘Your Classroom. Their Future’ educators’ conference amongst others. Our aim is to continue to promote the importance of ICT, create more industry awareness and communicate career opportunities in the ICT arena while continue to reach out and encourage eager enthusiasts to invest in further ICT education and achieve worldwide recognized certifications. With over 35years of expertise in conference & event organizing, Studioseven have teamed up with gamers.com.mt to make this year’s edition the largest local LAN event ever. During the three day event, enthusiasts will have the chance to participation in PC tournaments for games such as major e-sports game League of Legends, Call of Duty and DOTA 2 as well as Fifa ’14 for the Play Station 3, and Minecraft amongst others. The organizing committee has also confirmed a number of competition draws whereby Alienware products, cash prizes and other great gifts will be won. As one of the main attractions, Studioseven will be setting a large stage with a big screen for League of Legends spectators.
