ICE Malta proud sponsors of the Malta Robotics Olympiad’s CodeSprintMT.

Leading ICT Academy ICE Malta has been invited to be the exclusive sponsor of CodeSprintMT Java Hackathon, one of the main events during the 7th edition of the Malta Robotics Olympiad – the island’s largest technology event.

We’re honoured to be a part of this national event and we’re extremely proud to be invited to support this year’s first ever Java Hackathon. We work endlessly to engage with young talent and show them the potential of the ICT industry so this year, we were happy to join forces with the MRO committee to develop a 4-hour coding challenge for secondary students. Undoubtedly, coding has become one of the most in-demand skills across all industries and for this reason the ICE Malta Academic Team has also hosted a complimentary pre-bootcamp for the participating teenage coders where they have gained the skills as well as crucial tips, tricks, techniques to raise the level of the competition. – Nikolai Sammut, ICE Malta Director.

ICE Malta’s Management Team has also revealed that they will be giving 500 Malta Robotics Olympiad visitors an invitation to join a complementary industry-designed workshop to experience the power of the ICE Malta Study Experience.

The ICT industry continues to grow at a rapid pace and as a leading academy it is up to us to continue to encourage and empower individuals of all ages and from all walks of life to gain the crucial ICT skills which will help them launch, progress or transform their career. – Nikolai Sammut, ICE Malta Director.

These two initiatives show ICE Malta’s constant investment in today’s young talent as well as the team’s drive to attract today’s workforce to gain the essential ICT skills which position our islands as a true hub of ICT talent.

The 7th edition of the Malta Robotics Olympiad will be held between Friday 20th April 2018 and Sunday 22nd April 2018 at MFCC Ta’ Qali. Check out the Malta Robotics Olympiad website here for full details.
