CISCO NetRiders 2013, Malta’s finalists confirmed
As the countdown for Malta’s CISCO NetRiders 2013 continues, the CISCO Academy Head Quarters have now confirmed Malta’s list of finalists competing on the 28th of May at the host institute ICE Malta.
‘Presently all finalists have been invited for practical training sessions at ICE Malta as part of their preparation for the competition. Practice sessions not only give students an opportunity to get a feel of the type of questions for both the theory and practice parts of the competition, yet give Malta’s finalists the chance to practice for the competition in ICE Malta’s computer labs and get comfortable in the competition environment. This is of course, most beneficial for students who are presently studying at other institutes. As the host school for this prestigious international competition we have a duty to ensure that all students are comfortable and are prepared for Malta’s participation. At the end of the day our aim is to continue to position our island’s on the CISCO radar and support the winners who will be representing us in the finals. Special thanks to Malta Enterprise and the Get Qualified Scheme for their support. While more than 10,000 students from all over the world will be competing our students are unique as they have all benefited from the Get Qualified Scheme entitling them to 80% of their course fees back. This is a clear sign of our nation’s investment in our students and in education. Furthermore, we are very happy to confirm that ICE Malta will, once again be hosting the CISCO NetRiders 2014 edition, therefore students studying either CISCO Exploration or CISCO IT Essentials (PC Technician) have the chance to apply for next year’s edition.’ Nikolai Sammut, director of ICE Malta explained.
The final competition will be held at CISCO Netriders host school ICE Malta on Tuesday 28th May at 12.30pm. Best of luck to all participants.
