Autodesk launches ‘Best of the Best 2014 ShowReel Call’
ICE Malta’s educational partners Autodesk have launched the ‘Best of the Best 2014 ShowReel Call for Submissions. Students who have studied any Autodesk courses now have the opportunity to participate in this prestigious competition which will be a significant addition to their personal portfolio and show-reels. Participants are requested to submit recent animations, commercials, films or music video created using any or a combination of the following Autodesk software: Autodesk® 3ds Max,. Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suites, Autodesk Flame, Autodesk Flame Premium, Autodesk Lustre, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk MotionBuilder, Autodesk Mudbox, Autodesk Smoke, Autodesk Smoke Advanced, Autodesk Softimage
‘The ICE Malta Study Experience gives students the opportunity to participate in local and international competitions. While achieving a worldwide certification is extremely significant and should be every student’s ultimate aim, prospective candidates for creative vacancies also need to focus on building a portfolio and participate in initiatives such as this, which will be considered by potential employers as highlights in their CV. ICE Malta’s Cisco star Ryan Chetcuti’s success during Cisco NetRiders where he competed against 10,000 students and placed 1st in Europe and 4th worldwide is proof that our islands are full of ICT talent. Ryan’s win should continue to encourage our local talent to participate and represent our islands and continue to put Malta on the world’s creative map. The deadline for imagery submissions is Friday, January 24, 2104. The deadline for video submissions is Friday, February 7, 2014. Autodesk are also interested in receiving high-resolution images for inclusion in their marketing material throughout the year.
