About this Course
The Robotics 2 course gives students the opportunity to further their skills by building robots using Lego® NXT Mindstorms®. By using the core kit as well as additional part kits, this course gives students the opportunity to further their problem solving skills – necessary for both programming and engineering.
Through this course, students will learn how to program robots using a fun and easy programming language. This engages the students in the learning process and gets them interested in programming. The course also introduces students to Java programing using Lejos, where students will learn the basics of the Java programming language and use it to control robots.

- Modulate sound using the robotic kit and an ultrasonic sensor.
- Create self-balancing robots using various sensors.
- Learn about proximity sensing.
- Use mathematics to program robots.
- Learn the basics of Java to program robots.
- Expand on knowledge of data handling, decisions, loops and data blocks.
- Learn about load and balancing.
- Learn about fine-grained robotic control.

- More activities will be carried out during the course to teach core programming and assembly concepts.
