About this Course
The LPIC-1 Linux Administrator certification is specifically designed for existing and aspiring Linux Administrators who need to maintain, install and configure workstations, as well as master the Linux command line.
LPIC certifications are designed by Linux professionals and are vendor-neutral, teaching skills on both Debian-based (such as Ubuntu and Linux Mint) as well as RedHat-based (such as CentOS and Fedora) distributions. The skills you’ll learn will be valuable whether you are managing an on-premises installation or virtual machines in the cloud.
The course prepares you for the LPIC-1 101-500 and 102-500 exams. These cover system architecture, package management and installation, Bash commands, devices and filesystems. Also covered are shells, scripting, data management, user interfaces (including GUIs), system services and security.

Certification
The LPIC-1 certification validates that you have the ability to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux and configure basic networking. This internationally recognised credential can be earned by passing the LPIC-1 101 & 102 version 5.0 exams.
Funding
Students following the LPIC-1 Linux Administrator study programme can apply for the Get Qualified Scheme which will enable them to benefit from a tax credit of 70% of the costs incurred (ie. €1,046.50 will be refunded back for this course).
