#5 top takeaways from this year’s Stack Overflow Report.

Every year, the popular coding community platform Stack Overflow conducts their annual Developer Survey and just like all other editions, this year’s report is full of interesting statistics which give a snapshot of what’s really happening in the world of code.

Stack Overflow is the largest, most trusted online developer community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers. The Stack Overflow Developer Survey Report is based on a survey of 101,592 software developers from 183 countries around the world. Yep, this report is legit.

Keen on starting a learning path in code and not sure where to start? Stack Overflow’s findings will steer you in the right direction.

is the most commonly used programming language for the sixth year in a row. That’s right. when it comes to trending programming languages and frameworks, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks reign supreme.

  4. Linux

  5. 81%
of professional developer respondents enjoy coding as a hobby.

The coders who are on top of their game have a certain flair, agility and creativity in their technique. They are life-longer learners and they get paid for doing what they ❤️ – this is what makes them shine.

More than 60% of coders actually enjoy exercising. Yes for those who assumed that coders were just bacon-loving, soda-drinking, anti-exercise sorts – you have another thing coming.
